A note on how this will (hopefully) function: Relevant discussion which are deemed by the users to have value will be edited into more coherent documents. These will then be added to the wiki, and users can then freely contribute and develop these valuable topics. Topics of value will be discussed in the development forum, where they can be molded into a form suitable for adding to the wiki. All material added will be considered public domain. |

This forum is for general discussion of all geological issues and concepts. When posting, try and be as specific as possible. If you are confused, then explain what concepts you don't understand, what concepts you do, and exactly what you're looking for in an answer. This will help others tailor their answers to help you more effectively. All other geological/geoscientific discussion is welcome, as long as it's kept sane and relevant. This is the place to post if you're looking for suggestions regarding, e.g., a geochemistry text or a paper dealing with ring dykes in Ardnamurchan. This is NOT the place to post if you're looking to discuss your favourite minerals, or for inspiration for your amphibole epic poetry cycle. Sorry, but this is intended as a resource for help; facebook is more suitable for more light-hearted chat. And finally, a warning: WE WILL NOT DO YOUR HOMEWORK. |
